Really looking forward to it!
Still have tons to do before I go, it seems, yet I'm on a roll Ultra Fractally and I can't seem to close the program!
That's why I've been posting so many images - sorry about that but it's likely I won't be posting anything for a month or so while I'm gone so I just wanted to get a few more pics up. Thanks for your patience!
Part of the greatness of UF for me lately has been discovering these two pages:
Janet Parke's gradient tut: [link]
and Newton's/RGB Wheel Page by THERESA L. FORD (cattail.nu) [link] .
These have given me a lot more control and a lot more ideas about what colours to use together. Naturally, you may not be able to use the exact gradients that are generated but you many find that you'll come up with some gradients you never thought of before without looking clashy or garish (unless you want it to be!).
If I have time, I'll post some of the new fracs I made with these gradient ideas.
Also remember, any UF gradient can be directly copied and pasted into Apophysis - and vice versa. That's right, directly from one open gradient window in one program to the other! You'll find this gives you other controls and options when you try some of the sliders in the Apo gradient window. UF is by far the superior gradient editor though. !
Due to all the changes in Apo, I'm not sure if you can still import images from there to UF but in any case, they don't behave the same when moved from program to program.)
But you probably knew all this! And anyway, if you just can't get the colours you want, there's always PhotoShop and PSP. However, I try to do as much as I can in UF itself otherwise I get too confused!
Anyway, happy trails! I should be accessing my page at least once in a while during my trip so I will try to keep in touch.
Love, LZ

I hope you'll take them as they are meant - heartfelt - nonetheless!!! Thanks for your patience! LZ
