Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Dead Sick, Will Update Um....edit

**Edit:Well there's still something wrong with the new submission page! It took around 10 tries for me to submit one image and finally it went through. Same on the second! I give up and am going back to bed!**

Forced myself to go to work yesterday and to the doc after. As I suspected, I have a sinus infection.

Though I haven't had one for probably decades, nothing's changed, if you let it go, the infection could spread into the brain and you could die so you have to take anti-biotics. So I got a prescription for some yesterday. The pharmacist warned that it would take several days for there to be a noticeable effect.

This morning I woke up with the worst sinus headache imaginable, stuffed up and ready to barf. Took some meds and then barfed them up! Had to call in sick, drat! Went back to sleep for almost 5 hours.

Of course I just had to come here for a minute despite the fact that I really should go back to bed if I don't want to miss another day of work then I read about the new submission process so I just had to submit something!

Hey LZ,
Get well soon! I hate sinus infections. I tend to get them in the spring with all the pollens in the air. Hope you didn't have the high winds and flooding we got in the Puget Sound area over the last couple weeks--wettest November on record with two weeks to go. Thank gawd there is no such thing as global warming and its attendant strange weather patterns.

The rain and wind can die down any time now. I don't mind the rain, but with trees being already weakened by the last big blow, I am worried about one coming down on my head. Had a good holiday season, but am seriously ready to get back to a normal routine. Here's looking forward to a better 2007 than 2006!
