STOP WAR [link]

Letter to the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper or Satan from Hell, Bush's Asshole [link] here pm@pm.gc.ca:

"Dear Prime Minister Stephen Harper;

How are you doing?

It seems to me that you must be having difficulty sleeping at night as you are not responding to any local (Canadian) or international calls for you to consider a ceasefire in this situation regarding Israel and Lebanon. You have insisted on calling Israel's reaction "measured". Well, perhaps it was when we have heard evidence that the attack has been 2 years in the planning.

Are you aware that support for you has dropped dramatically as a result of your actions regarding these hostilities? Actually you must be aware that you were elected by only a slim margin in any case. Many people including myself are calling on our MP's for a vote of non-confidence against you and would like to see you ousted from the House of Parliament as soon as possible. You have not proven to be an adequate leader and you are certainly doing your best to severely taint Canada's reputation as a peaceable country - a peacemaker and a peacekeeper. What's up with that? You did not campaign on the basis of being a warmonger or I'm sure even fewer people would have voted for you.

Now please listen to older and more experienced people who know better than you do, that war of any kind is no solution for any problem. You campaigned as a Christian. You should be well aware of the New Testament. War is not condoned there for any reason. The Old Testament is not for Christians. Listen to your own conscience and recommend a ceasefire.

Likewise, you should be recommending that all Canadians be removed from Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran. There is no need or reason for Canada to be involved in these conflicts. Not only can we not afford it, it is not our country's mandate to make war.

It makes me feel great shame and anger to know that Canada is no longer a peaceful country and that we are now risking the same kind of attack that we are perpetrating on the countries we engage with. It's awful to contemplate the horrors that are being perpetrated in Canada's name. Please listen carefully, empathise and stop the violence NOW!

Thank you.
LZ"

And the bogus reply showing that they didn't even read my letter:

"Dear Ms. Janzen:

On behalf of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, I would like to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence regarding Canada's mission in Afghanistan. Please be assured that your comments have been carefully noted.

It is in Canada's national interest to see Afghanistan become a free, democratic and peaceful country. An unstable Afghanistan represents a serious threat to Canada and the world. Canada has assumed an international leadership role by serving in the United Nations mandated, but Canadian led, Afghan security mission.

Canada has a tradition of stepping up to the plate and providing leadership on global issues. The Prime Minister is proud of the Canadian Forces personnel who have put themselves on the line to defend our national interests and to help Afghanis rebuild their country. They are standing up for core Canadian values and achieving important victories for the people of Afghanistan.

As you may know, the House of Commons already voted to extend the Canadian military mission in Afghanistan until February 2009. A copy of the Prime Minister's speech delivered prior to this vote is available online at [link].

You can learn more about Canada's important diplomatic, defence and development contributions to the stabilization and reconstruction of Afghanistan by visiting [link].

Further, the government shares the desire of the vast majority of Canadians to see a prompt resolution to the situation in Lebanon as well as the development of long-term peace and stability in the region.

We remain committed to working with the international community to develop a strong position that can lead to a durable and lasting peace. As you may be aware, we have already played an important role in this regard by helping to craft the unanimous declaration by G8 leaders concerning the crisis in Lebanon at the recent G8 summit in Russia.

However, we are not neutral towards terrorist groups or towards the right of Israel to defend itself. Hezbollah, which initiated the unprovoked aggression against the sovereign state of Israel, must be prevented from terrorizing the Israeli population at will. Only then will a cease-fire become sustainable.

Additionally, please note that the Government of Canada will continue to actively contribute to humanitarian efforts in the region, beginning with the safety of Canadians and with reconstruction efforts when there is a resolution to this conflict.

You can learn more about Canada's foreign policy and our efforts to help restore peace in the region, by visiting the website of Foreign Affairs Canada, at [link].

Information about the Lebanon Relief Fund - Canada's contribution to humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Lebanon -- is available at the Canadian International Development Agency website, at [link].

Thank you for taking the time to write.

I also wrote to President Bush of the USA comments@whitehouse.gov:

"Dear President Bush and Members of Congress;

How are you doing today?

You must absolutely be empathic toward all nations in this time of ridiculous wars and realise that human lives are always more important than profits of any kind for yourselves or any other company.

You must put a stop to the hostilities in Israel and Lebanon immediately.

You must call a stop to all violence in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan immediately and call the troops back to the USA. It's a shame that the US has not listened to calls for this war to end. It's a shame that the president informed the public 3 years ago that the war was over and yet it still continues. It's even worse that the president has coerced other nations into doing the dirty work of the US and has taken away the dignity, reputation and peace of nations such as Canada as a result of its selfish and nonsensical actions in the Middle East.

Please stop before the situation becomes worse. Let the people of those countries deal with their own problems.

Thank you.
LZ"

And I received this even less interested reply:

"On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence.
We appreciate hearing your views and welcome your suggestions.
The President is committed to continuing our economic progress,
defending our freedom, and upholding our Nation's deepest values.

Due to the large volume of e-mail received, the White House
cannot respond to every message.  Please visit the White House
website for the most up-to-date information on Presidential
initiatives, current events, and topics of interest to you.
In order to better receive comments from the public, a new system
has been implemented.  In the future please send your comments to
comments@whitehouse.gov.

Thank you again for taking the time to write."

Nonetheless I encourage all to write to these guys or whatever your country's leaders and tell them your opinion on whatever is going on in the world today. After all you are paying their salaries with your taxes and should have a say in what they do with the money you give them for running the country!

On a related note, both the US and Canada recently passed draconian laws taking away nearly all rights and freedoms even from law-abiding citizens in the name of protecting us from terrorists. It's rumoured that Canada's law is even stricter that the US one. In any case I found this great article at DaOnlyOverlord's site :icondaonlyoverlord: here: [link] . It states that judges have realised that congress has overstepped its bounds in making laws that attempt to surpass the rights laid down in the American Constitution! Let's hope that the courts win on this one. Someone's gotta keep those idiotic politicians in check. Now what about Canada!!!????

Keep up the good fight!!! :D But stop all wars! :D

Please wait for my friends' icons to load and then look at their galleries too! They are worth it!

Thanks!

George W. Bush: "I am satisfied...", "I am pleased...", "I am blah..."

And quoting the reply you got: "The Prime Minister is proud of the Canadian Forces personnel who have put themselves on the line to defend our national interests and to help Afghanis rebuild their country."

This makes me sick! Who the hell do they think they are? As representatives of their people they should consider what their people thinks, not what their personal opinions are, as if they're some gods or deities or some big deal!

Hezbollah, which initiated the unprovoked aggression against the sovereign state of Israel, must be prevented from terrorizing the Israeli population at will. Only then will a cease-fire become sustainable.
How about "Israel, an agressive government (because ISRAEL IS NOT A FUCKING STATE!) that caused several massacres in Lebanon during its occupation, and has always threatened the peace and security of Lebanon along the southern borders and in the hearts and minds of the rest of the Lebanese people up North--even after Southern Lebanon was freed, must be prevented from not only terrorizing, but also killing (logically, killing is more severe than terrorizing and more comprehensive, so maybe I should go: not only killing, but also terrorizing) the Lebanese and Palestinian population (and in the future, any country an Israeli mercenary steps in) at will. Only then will peace, security and a permanent cease-fire become sustainable."

People need to stop taking what their governments say for granted. I can't believe anyone out there believes that Israel is a peacful country that does nothing but 'defend itself'. Open your eyes, people! Change the goddamn news channel you're listening to! The Western Media does not tell you all that happens here because most of it is controlled by, in short, the US and Israel!!! What they want from you is your support. That is why they lie to you about what's going on, and look at yourself already believing it and supporting what you think is right. It's natural for you to support what is right, because you're a sane human being with a good conscience, but you don't know the truth! Don't make yourself more enemies by siding with the real bad guys! The men of Hezbollah are merely Lebanese men who once had families, and now have nothing left to protect except for their country and other people's families. The two Israeli soldiers WERE armed on foreign land, weren't they? Can you go point a gun at your neighbor's head and not expect him to threat you to leave? Besides, what the fuck did Israel do to get those soldiers back? They tore Lebanon to small pieces! There was not a single bombing that was not on a civilian area, on civilians! People died in their beds! Chocked under the wreck that was once their home! Pieces of bodies were collected everywhere! Hospitals have no more rooms, and some cannot even be reached anymore because there was not a bridge that Israel knew of that they did not shell! Is this what a democratic 'state' would do for two captured soldiers? Genocide?

Compare with what Hezbollah targeted:190 Israeli tanks were destroyed on Lebanese soil. Two Israeli battleships and a number of aircrafts were also lost, all of which were functioning against Lebanese peace and security. The Israeli attack wouldn't stop, so Hezbollah warned they would escalate if Israel keeps on. Israel did (what a government that cares about the safety of its people, right?), and Hezbollah targeted ARMY BASES in Israel. ARMY! MILITARY! ARSENAL! WAR MACHINES! KILLING MACHINES! AFTER it gave a warning it would, allowing Israeli civilians to take refuge. In comparison to what? Civilians. FUCK! It hurts as I talk about it! Did you know Israel targeted a refuge causing a yet-new massacre of civilian women and children? For two soldiers? Is someone trying to convince me Israel even CARED about those two soldiers? The only reason they want to look like they did is because all of their soldiers are mercenaries, and if they seem to lose soldiers like that and do nothing about it they won't have military man power anymore. Wake up, people. Justified my arm.

Also, fuck the Media!

I totally agree with everything you said, as little as I know about what's been going on there for awhile. We don't have any right to interfere. I didn't know that all Israel's soldier's were mercenaries. I thought they had the draft as you do. I've talked to some Israels and they told me that they were legally obligated to join the war whether they wanted to or not and of course they are brainwashed into thinking they are right just like the idiotic soldiers everywhere who are either paid or drafted to fight in some stupid "leader's" war.

Thanks for your much appreciated comment. I'm always happy when people respond to my political postings which doesn't happen very often. I don't mean to produce controversy, I just want people to look away from the mainstream BS for awhile and AGREE with me!!! Lol! But really. Of course I usually feel I'm right but then everyone else does to and that's how wars happen, isn't it? In practice, I tell people, let's agree to disagree. Guess that doesn't always work when death is involved. THOU SHALT NOT KILL. Once of the best commandments.

PS Why not put a direct link to your scraps gallery in your signature too?

Well, Israeli men are recruited, but they are a few who are not attached to the land they're on as we are, so the main source of man power in the Israeli Army is mercenaries. Maybe I exaggerated when I said all of them were, but still.

PS: I did! I did not? Oh, c'mon!

well, leo i agree with you that war sucks heavily but lebanon and isreal is one of the few justified wars in awhile. comparison:
bush and his cronies decide that
"them canadian sons of bitches are going down" and begin lobbing; with great generousity, missiles on our people.

we fight back, needless to say. so i say to isreal keep fighting the good fight. cuz thats exactly what they should do.

and thats wat isreal is doing.

but one thing i find funny is the difference of the us and canadian gov't. the us clearly doesnt give a rats ass :P ours give only half a rats ass

also inagreement with is the fact canadains shouldnt be in iraq at all. thats the us's mess.

but afganistan is another story. they were actually a threat and we're going good work there. lossing stomach is near idoitic just cause a handful of soldiers die. i mean its odd that theres this mentality that in war now that no soldiers are allowed to die. i mean the last major war canada was korea if my history serves right. i mean thousands died there from all sides. so whats with this "no one can die" philosophy? its kinda the direct most product of war.
