INSANE LEADING & WAR CLOWNS

Wed Sep 13, 2006, 8:06 PM
Edit: Just added - this interesting photoshop collage by less-than-life :iconless-than-life:

along with WAR CLOWNS: A photo taken by asmodeus42 :iconasmodeus42: somewhere in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Yes, It's George W. Bush, President of the US of A on the left and Stephen Harper (or Satan from Hell as I call him) so-called Prime Minister of Canada on the right.

Both of the clowns are past their expiry date (sell-by date).

We have a slight chance of getting Harper out if we can persuade our Members of Parliament that he's not behaving responsibly. In that case there would be a vote of non-confidence and yet another national election called and we'd have to find yet another leader for this poor sore country.

In the States, correct me if I'm wrong, I can only vaguely remember back to the 1970's when Nixon was under attack and eventually impeached, the rigamarole is considerably more complicated in the case of the national leader. I encourage all Americans to go for it, impeaching Bush, that is.

Jimmy Carter blames Tony Blair for his weakness and timidity in leading Bush into Iraq [link] . Hm...Bush has no responsibility in the matter? Easy to cast the blame.

Harper's just along for the ride too! Just a war party animal, that one!

(This was sent to me by my son whose friend is in Israel and seeing another side of the war. Obviously we must try to look at all sides of the matter, extremely difficult when we can't move from our own little places!)

Letter from one of the members of the political listserve that I belong to, to the Opposition Party, requesting that Prime Minister Harper be removed by a vote of non-confidence:

Subject: Harper Aligning Canada with the US and Britian

TO:  Opposition Party Leaders, Government of Canada,
        Jean Crowder, MP Cowichan-Nanaimo

Dear Opposition Party Leaders and Jean Crowder:

I am writing to express deep concern for Canada's reputation on the world scene and the security of Canadian citizens on the domestic front.

The following article, as are many other sources, has lumped Canada in with both the present United States and British administrations in basically supporting the Israelis war on Lebanon.  This is truly alarming and is diametrically opposed to the majority will of the people of Canada.

After walking away from Afghanistan, the United States and Britian decided to turn away from the so-called legal operation and embark on another course. Together they launched an invasion of Iraq, which most experts agree is illegal.  Now these nations are, through inaction and words, supporting the Israeli war on Lebanon and Stephen Harper, in a minority government situation, is dragging our country along with the US and Britain into sustained madness.

Harper has even gone so far as to condemn the United Nations for having observer posts in the war zone absolving the Israelis from the responsibility of having bombed to death unarmed, non-combative UN personnel, including one Canadian.  It is becoming glaringly obvious that the Israelis want the United Nations removed from Lebanon so they can bomb the country into oblivia without observers. Harper's complicit silence has been deafening.

This must end!  Our nation must not be seen as either complicit nor guilty by association.  Fly with the crows, you get shot at!

Harper is proving himself inept, incompetent and unqualified for his position, not to mention dangerous for our country.  Therefore, I most emphatically encourage the Opposition Parties to reconvene parliament and, through a vote of non-confidence, remove Harper and his Conservatives from power and return our country to it's reputation as a peace-keeping multi-cultural tolerant nation...in other words a PEACEMONGER!

Sincerely yours,

XXXX

Great pic. C'mon Canucks, get the fire lit and run that sucker out of office - don't follow our example and be easily swayed by fear mongering!

All I can do is keep writing to my Member of Parliament who belongs to my party and is trying to get the warmonger out! Yay! Unfortunately they are not the majority - bunch of socialists everyone thinks, so it's awfully hard to get the proper things done in this country!

Thanks Gea, I'm glad you think it's worth getting our knickers in a knot about it! I shouldn't laugh but it's better than not doing anything at all. I saw that movie "Chicken Little" last weekend with my grandson and I think it does give us the message to listen to the whistle blowers and ignore the warmongers who try to sell us this horror show. I wonder how we could have stopped it. It's seems even WW2 with so many nations involved and so much money. Now that the show is on the road - what can we do to pull the plug? All of these 3 need to be stopped in their tracks and that's putting it very mildly. Naturally it'd be nice to see the leaders in some other countries some their violence too but is it really our business to "keep the peace"? I am having second thoughts about this policy! I could be nuts though....

Everybody's thoughts are welcome cuz I sometimes just don't know what to think! :D

Probably if you go to the US, you'll be able to find them. In the bunkers! Chickenshits! I love the image of Bush and Sadam or some other interesting combo of guys duking it out or using some obscure form of martial arts to decide who "wins" the battle and then that's it, it's all over folks, none of this BS where it goes on for generations and eons! ARG!!! I just want them to quit and not have war anymore. If they want to fight let them do it by themselves. It's just such a sickening industry!

Well, I could go on for hours! :D
